Good afternoon, welcome to the website of the sheep farm family Zantboer, Olburgen the Netherlands. Since 1970 we breed on our farm 'Capellegoed' TEXEL herd-book-sheep.
Our TEXEL herd-book breeding farm (UBN 1725102) has been maedivisna accredited since 1980.
Also our stock-farm is free from scrapie. The TEXEL-SHEEP is known for being far out the best mutton breed of the world.The MODERN TEXEL-SHEEP, bred on our farm, has an excellent slaughter quality, with an outstanding meat-bone proportion. The modern TEXEL-RAM (STUDS) from our stock-farm are particularly suitable as fathers, for they improve the meat quality, growing speed and the production of precocious lamb with outstanding quality properties. Above all our female animals possess extremely well developed maternal instincts. Our farm delivers male as well as female animals for breeding. It's possible to get fresh or frozen sperm from our high standard TEXEL STUDS throughout the year*.
